Lament of the Bees

Lament of the Bee - A Spontaneous Song offering Sculpture by Mulberry Mudd called
"Song of the Bee Priestess"

Thank you my late Layne Redmond for bringing awareness of the bees to all her students. Many of the ancient women frame drummers were often either depictions of the Goddess or the priestesses of the Goddess and they were referred to as Melissa or Deborah which means Honeybee in Greek and Hebrew .

The honey bees pollinate 1/3 of our food crops.
There have massive die offs and major decline in its population
in the last decade.

We Drum and Sing for Pachamama
Pachamama, Pachamama
Daily may we give thanks to you

Daily may we give thanks to you
give thanks to you, give thanks to you
Pachamama is Mother Earth

The voice of the drum for me is the voice of the earth

Daily may we commune with her

Daily may we fall in love with her
Daily may we be voice for her
Daily may we give back to her

The Drum is Calling

When we hold the drum, we are holding all that it represents.
It has a voice and it wants to be heard.
The drum represents the first sound we ever hear,
the sound of our mothers blood pulsing
through her arteries while we were
fetus's in the womb
our time of oneness.
We lived to this pulse of life and
the drum is the echo of this pulse.
It is the sound of the Mother.
As a circle it represents
Oneness
Wholeness
Unity
Community
Cycles and Rhythms of Life
The Sun
The Moon
The Earth
The womb
It's drum strokes represent the Elements
Earth
Water
Fire
Air
It represents all that is sacred
